The six things every invitation needs
Whatever the occasion, run your message past this list before you send it:
- Who is hosting — especially when children invite for parents, or two families invite together
- What the occasion is — named plainly, in the first line
- The date — with the day of the week, because "12 December" alone gets misread
- The start time — and an end time for weekday events
- The full venue address — with a map link, not a landmark
- How to RSVP — one number, one deadline, one sentence
Then add whatever makes it yours: the joke, the couplet, the photo, the "no gifts please".
Why forwarded invitations get ignored
Look at your own WhatsApp during any festival season. The forwarded images blur into one another — same fonts, same flowers, someone else's watermark in the corner. They are seen for half a second and scrolled past.
